1. Information Collection and Use
We collect several types of information to provide and improve our services to you:
- Personal Data: When registering or using the KafeTEEN app, you may provide personally identifiable information, including but not limited to your name, email address, age/date of birth, phone number, and state/region.
- Usage & Device Data: We may collect non-identifiable data sent automatically by your mobile device, such as your IP address, operating system, unique device identifiers, and in-app action logs.
2. Data Retention Policy
LPPKN adheres to strict data retention standards in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Google Play Developer Policies:
- User Profile & Account Data: Retained for as long as your KafeTEEN account remains active and in use.
- Usage Logs & Analytics Data: Stored for up to twelve (12) months for service improvement and system performance monitoring, after which it is automatically aggregated or deleted.
- Inactive Accounts: If an account remains inactive for consecutive two (2) years, LPPKN reserves the right to archive or permanently purge the profile data.
- No Unnecessary Storage: We do not retain user personal data longer than necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which it was collected.
3. Data Deletion Process and User Rights
Users of KafeTEEN have full rights to request the deletion of their personal data and account records at any time.
How to Request Data Deletion:
- In-App Account Deletion:
- Open the KafeTEEN app.
- Navigate to Profile / Account Settings.
- Select Delete Account and confirm your request.
- Web / Email Request Process:
- If you cannot access the app, submit an explicit deletion request via email to pemuda@lppkn.gov.my (or your designated support address) with the subject line “KafeTEEN Account & Data Deletion Request.”
- Include the email address or phone number associated with your KafeTEEN account.
Data Erasure Timeline: Once a deletion request is verified and received, LPPKN will permanently delete your account profile, personal identification data, and associated user records from our production servers within 30 business days. Non-identifying statistical records may be retained in anonymized format.
4. Data Security
The security of your data is paramount to us. We implement industry-standard technical, administrative, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transport protocols (HTTPS/SSL) to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
5. Third-Party Services
KafeTEEN may contain links to external websites or third-party tools. We do not control or operate external sites and advise you to review the privacy policy of any third-party website or service you interact with.
6. Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” You are advised to review this policy periodically for updates.
